Yesterday was a very relaxed day. I had a couple of friends over who are passionate about more resources and better care for those diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder – a cause very close to my heart. These people experience some of the highest levels of stigma and worst ‘treatment’ within the mental health system. We had a great conversation. If anyone is interested, Judy is facilitating a carer/family support group here in SA, if you contact me I can pass on her details. If you’re a friend, family member, or peer worker interested in being part of a BPD network and resources, feel welcome to get in touch. 🙂
I’m back working on my list of art commissions and today I finally nailed down a design for the next pair of shoes. I’ve been given free reign to design anything I like and a swatch of material it needs to compliment. I decided on peacocks and a gold paint outline for a finer effect than my usual black. I treated myself to a small purchase at the art shop recently and bought some more Pearl Ex pigment colours. I’m using a metallic green pigment added to the paint to create a two-tone shimmer which is working beautifully. Very relaxed and content today, pottering and painting. Here’s a sneak peek of one of the shoes in progress, more photos coming soon! 🙂
