A gathering of work about a topic that’s hard to raise in public but is deeply important to me, and has a profound – if often secret – impact on the lives of many of us. The theme of pregnancy, loss, & motherhood is so special to me. The works are joyful, heartbreaking, raw, and tender. They are created from my own experiences of hope, joy, anguish, and grief.
As I was dealing with a charged topic, I took care to create a safer space (I’m a facilitator) – read about the values and resources.

This is a wheelchair accessible venue.
All works are Embellished prints, hand gilded with 24 karat gold and available for purchase, or if already sold can be ordered. It takes me about a month to create a new Embellished, framed print. Classic prints with no embellishment are also available.
Artbook Mourning the Unborn
I launched my beautiful Digital Artbook, and exhibited for the first time the original handmade Artbook it was derived from: Mourning the Unborn.
Radio Interview
To hear me talk about my experiences with miscarriage and how that developed into this exhibition and artbook, listen to this interview with Jennie Lenman on Arts Breakfast at Radio Adelaide. Originally broadcast on 16/4/2016, the podcast is available here.
Review of the Exhibition and Opening Night
A beautiful review of the exhibition and opening night by artist and writer Julia Wakefield, for the Weekend Notes. There’s lots of lovely photos here of the embellished prints and opening night.
Keepsake Booklet
You are welcome to my small free booklet with a short biography, description of the origin of the exhibition, price lists of the art, information about the artbook Mourning the Unborn, and links to Sands and other online resources.
My Online Store
For those further afield, I opened my Etsy Art Shop! It’s stocked with prints from this exhibition, as well as my digital Artbook, Mourning the Unborn. The prints are all beautifully matted, ready for the frame of your choice. It won’t be as lovely as seeing these beautiful gold embellished prints framed and displayed, but you will still be able to view the artworks and buy prints.
